Life in Copán Ruinas

In the northwestern part of the province of Copán just eleven km (seven miles) from the Guatemalan border is located the town of Copán Ruinas, which reveals its heritage with its attractive cobbled streets and picturesque adobe buildings. More recently Copán Ruinas has become a great and progressive travel destination that has superb experience in meeting the needs of international visitors and residents. The archaeological park, Copán Ruins, is referred to as the most artistically advanced and elaborate of all Maya cities, and was declared a heritage of humanity site by UNESCO in 1980.
